In this episode I welcome Ken Sharrar. As a high school and college football coach and mentor for many years, Ken’s mission throughout his professional career has never changed - he seeks “to make a positive difference in people’s lives every day.” Currently, he spends time “friendraising” and building relationships with parents, alumni, and benefactors of JP Catholic University in San Diego, California as the Director of Mission Advancement and Philanthropy. He’s also coordinating Build For Impact, the University’s multi-year $18 million Capital Campaign. Ken opens up about becoming a girl dad later in life, his gratitude for his daughter, Taylor, the importance of relationships, and how his faith continues to guide him.
Thank you to Ken for being on the show, and for sharing his journey as a Girl Dad. I am inspired by Ken's story and how he held on to hope and gratitude. Even in the most challenging of times, we should hold on to hope, value the relationships in our lives, and be thankful for the blessings we have been given.
